So sad we have to plaster those ugly stickers all over our beautiful cars
oh! don't get me started on that. Mine is a white 3 as well and I keep it squeaky clean. I don't know how I am going to stick them on tomorrow. Breaks my heart

Have you considered the clean-clings that are removable ? I've been using them for the purple stickers and they stay on even in heavy wind and rain....
I ordered evwrap (a friend’s recommendation). Just now getting to know the clean-clings. Looks very promising. Thanks much @jkoya . I might just buy and use these instead. Still debating.

Seriously, have you seen what sticker adhesives on these decals do to a paint job after 4 years? How can a State force you to do that kind of physical damage to your personal vehicle???
I see all the write ups for various films to cut and place between the stickers and the car paint but no review I read tells what happens after 4 years. When see you need a heat gun to remove the film that scares the hell out of me
.If the car is 'ceramic' coated prior to application, the stickers will peel off intact when done slowly.

I can say from experience that placing PPF under the CAV sticker and then placing that on a bumper that already has PPF is difficult to remove without damaging the PPF on the bumper....
I sent my application for 2020 stickers on 1/2/2020 and my check cleared today. Now we will see how long it takes to get the stickers.
If the car has ceramic, the decal wont stick. Even if it does, it will come off. Due to the hydrophobic element on the ceramic. What we have done in the past is cut a piece of PPF the same size as the decal. Install the PPF and the decal on top of the PPF. When the time comes for removal, the PPF is a lot easier to remove. It can be removed with hot water or steam gun. You can come to our shop and we will be happy to give you a couple of PPF pieces at no charge.
I drove speeds up to 125 mph, temps from 115° to -10°F, and rain pouring down so hard you could not see 30'. All the stickers stayed in place. But you can peel the stickers off if you do it slowly when it's warm out. This is with a $750 ceramic treatment. However, I hand washed the car, no exceptions. Other people might see different results. I would avoid automatic car washes and pressure washers.

Thanks for the update, checked my account and DMV cashed the check today! Mailed mine 12/18, now lets see how its going to take to get the sticker..

Got me stickers today. Took a 1.5 months but once the check cashed only a few days.

@Tmoh3 I did get the PPF. After @jkoya 's message, I am probably more inclined to get the clean-clings instead.
And, I agree with @AZjohnInCA, I don't see any reviews for the protective films after 4 years of usage. Of course, my friend said he did see someone remove it after a year or so and it came out clean. So 4 years MIGHT not be different. Still contemplating.
