Chances of a $79,999.99 Model X?

With the new $80k limit, what are the chances of a $79,999 model x?
I paid $82k if I recall correctly for my Raven Standard range, and got $3500 tax cred back in the day.

Given the current purchase price is $109K, and it isn’t meant to be a high-volume seller, I would say there is a next to zero percent chance.

I will say that the current $10K delta between the LR and Plaid seems strange.

I was wondering this today. I think it’s feasible, but Tesla probably doesn’t care enough to make it happen unless S/X demand really tanks to the point they can’t keep the production line busy.

I can see a price drop - but not that much. Currently the X is @ double the price of the Y. It is not worth double and that will probably move a lot of people to go with the Y. However, it will really all depend on demand. I suspect Tesla makes a huge profit on the S and X, so they have room to lower the price - if they need to.
