Changing Order of AWD Non-P to White Seats, Delivery impact?

Still nothing from Tesla regarding my request to change to white seats - order still shows black interior with a Sept-Nov 18 delivery window. Has anyone heard anything yet? My request to change was made 7/28/18, and all I have is a case number... Becoming increasingly concerned that by the time they finally make the change to my order, that it will push me back in the line to a Oct-Dec 18 window...

Just fell upon this thread.

I did an over the phone request to add performance upgrade to my P3D (ordered 7/25/2018). They said they're honor the prior paint and destination charge prices, and the free supercharging.

They sent me an email from customer service asking me to fill up a form and they'd change the specs. They did say it will bump my delivery date, which made me nervous. I really don't want to screw myself over on missing the tax credit.

Now I read this thread and I'm super nervous now!

I placed the M3 LR AWD Non-P order on June 28. and got a Sept-Nov delivery timeframe.
no VIN or delivery specialist yet.
Today, I hit the edit button to change to a white interior option. I was ready to pay the extra $1500
but when it got to the summary/"update order" page, it showed that it increased the LR AWD option from 53k to 54k.
and the Deep Blue Metallic Paint from 1k to 1.5k.
and the destination and doc fee from 1k to 1.2k
and updating my delivery timeframe to 2-4 months starting today!

That effectively makes the cost of adding the white interior option from $1.5k to $3.2k !
I called the 888 number and he said there's nothing they can do about that.
So, I've decided not to spend $3.2k for the white interior.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
any suggestions?

thanks in advance!

What in the world! I didn't have the EDIT button, so had to have the showroom folks enter a change ticket (or something like that) back on 7/28/18 for the white seats. They have yet to make the change. I just got off the phone with the 888 Tesla, who said he sees the change and is waiting for it to be entered. There was no indication that it would change my other locked in prices, but the customer service guy said it could change my estimated delivery window.

Now I'm concerned that if they make the change, everything will change, and I will be beyond unhappy!

Same boat as you went from AWD to Performance didn’t have edit button and had to do it via the email change request. Yet to see this update online. I’m concerned that because of the request my order is stuck in limbo. Their possibly can’t be enough changes to orders that it takes 10 days to get the update. I did mine on the 2nd you did it almost a week beforehand.

UPDATE - GOOD NEWS and BAD NEWS
So I just received email from Tesla that my change has been made - didn't ask for confirmation, just that it has been done now.
In reviewing my order, the GOOD NEWS is that my order now shows the white seats, and the total increase in cost was only the $1,500 (plus about $100 in additional taxes for the increased value).
The BAD NEWS is that it did reset my estimated delivery window from Sep-Nov 18 to Oct-Dec 18. That totally sucks! Moved back to the end of the line...

No more changes for me!!!

So if you requested Tesla change it, it appears that you will not pay for the price increased in the car or paint, but you will apparently restart your 2-4 weeks estimated delivery window. Therefore, if you do not want to wait the additional time, and are ok with the black seats, you may wish to forego your change request!

Just noticed that the revised MVPA shows "Order placed with electronically accepted terms: 8/7/2018", so even though my original order was 7/13/18, it now shows today's date (8/7/18), and my estimated delivery window is now 2-4 months (Oct-Dec) from that date... Hey, as long as it's not longer than December 7, I can still get my Fed $7,500... Still sucks to lose that "wait time" though.

How long after you submitted change request email did you get confirmation?

10 Days, (including three calls to local dealership, and two calls to Tesla 888 number). The last call was about 2 hours ago to the 888 number... That spurred the "push". I would suggest that you call 888 number if you have been waiting more than a week. The guy I spoke with said he "would send a message to the correct group to make the change and would call me back within a day or two, if it wasn't made within the next couple of hours" (which it was).

So is everything now reflected on the website for you?

Yes, everything has been changed - order/configuration, MVPA, costs etc. The only negative is that I have lost my Sept-Nov window, and am now at the end of the line with another 2-4 months wait (Oct-Dec) delivery window, with the MVPA showing a confirmed order date of today's date (8/7/18) instead of my original order date of 7/13/18. But I have white seats!

Why dec 7?

I saw on the tesla forum that people who made changes via phone after their edit button disappeared are starting to see the changes reflect on their tesla accounts. I’m glad they are catching up with these changes. However, I have a feeling that your time probably didn’t get reset just because of the white seats. I think it’s their system calculating that by default because of the changes made.
Just in the last week we have seen people get calls/emails/vins and or delivery dates for their AWD non-p orders even when their estimates were around sep-nov and they were quiet surprised. I’m still optimistic

Did everyone who made updates over phone (not through edit button) get the changes updated on the account ? I emailed my changes on 7/30. No confirmation email...account still shows old config (black interior). Called multiple times but got the same answer that they are backed up. The rep on the last call said he will escalate to the team responsible for these changes but that was about a week back. I reserved and ordered much later than many on this forum. So I know I have long wait ahead but things as simple as a change not getting reflected on account for almost two weeks shows that Tesla is not prepared to handle these volumes at the moment. I am a current owner and a big fan but this experience is frustrating. If Tesla really wants to sell the car to those who are not fanboys, they will really need to work on the experience.

Mine got changed at about 10 days (and multiple calls). No additional charge for changes, but it did reset my order date to the date they made the change, so my estimated delivery changed from Sept-Nov to Oct-Dec. That part sucks, but as long as they truly get it to me before the end of the year, the white seats will be worth the additional wait...

You gotta keep calling and badgering them about it. Say you’re afraid of missing the tax rebate, etc.

I requested my upgrade to PUP on Monday and got an email confirming Wednesday.

Called yesterday and respectfully registered my unhappiness with the speed and transparency of the process. He today flagged my white interior change order to highest priority. The info I got yesterday was again inconsistent with past info that 1) I've previously received, and 2) what I've read about on social media. The change order computer system does not communicate with the factory computer system. Two completely separate departments. The factory computer system assigns VINs based on production runs and reservation/order info. Once that happens, a Delivery Associate is assigned and the process moves forward. At this time, all the factory sees is my original order with black, thus, they may not have me properly queued for blue/white (as far as I can tell but that point was unclear from the rep). I am seeing my car being delivered to other parts of the country and it makes me wonder if I'm being screwed by the slow change order process.
