Wouldn't it be better to buy the blue adapter from Tesla which would connect to the UMC directly?

Or do I miss something?

Yep, you missed it... The blue adaptor from Tesla (which I also have) is a larger size than the other - 32A three-phase versus 16A mono (I think).

Tesla UMC with blue adapter is 230V @ 32A mono fase and a bit larger than the 16A version.
Equals 7,2 kW or 35 km/h.

I'm sorry if this have been brought up earlier or somewhere else. But I'm thinking of going to the south of france this summer but along a route that have superchargers. But since there only seem to be temporary ones, how long should I expect to have to charge? Can I expect them to actually work?

Yes sir. They are exactly the same.
But in somme places they may be limited by the utility. No official information though.
