Tesla's response:

“Last month, following Elon’s announcement that he was considering taking the company private, Tesla received a voluntary request for documents from the DOJ and has been cooperative in responding to it. We have not received a subpoena, a request for testimony, or any other formal process. We respect the DOJ’s desire to get information about this and believe that the matter should be quickly resolved as they review the information they have received.”

Tesla (TSLA) now reportedly under a criminal probe over Elon Musk’s take-private comments

I'm sure the Saudi PIF will be only too happy to step up and confirm Elon's shaggy dog cover story about how they really wanted to bung him $30B with nothing on paper ... no, wait, they just went and invested $1B into Lucid instead.

VW also officially denied they were involved.

We are rapidly running out of fig leaves here ... perhaps DOJ can be distracted with some poxy Atari games?
