I've been watching Youtube videos on road trips with MYAWD (4680) and MYLR (2170). On average looks like both MYAWD and MYLR are getting about 3.3mi/kWh.
Useable battery: MYAWD = 67kWh; MYLR = 75kWh
Mileage on 100% charge: MYAWD = 221mi; MYLR = 248mi
Let's assume using 70% of battery between supercharging (charging between 20% to 90%) on highway
Practical highway driving mile: MYAWD = 155mi; MYLR = 174mi
On the paper 279mi vs. 330mi is big difference between MYAWD and MYLR, but in practical highway driving the real difference is as low as 19 to 20mi. If you are only driving in town, range difference MYAWD vs. MYLR should not matter. The real world difference on highway driving is not 50mi that we see on EPA est. It should be more like 20 mi.
Right now if you can get an inventory base MYAWD with 19" wheels, it's $4,000 cheaper than MYLR. For those who are not doing much road trips, the longer range benefit of LR may not be worth the wait, price difference, and possibly foregoing half of tax credit after March
