I am trying to get to use fsd. Unfortunately, the following distance on 5 doesn't give me enough to get to 98. I use it all the time, even when driving after a full stop. Any hints?

The only Tesla following distance that is legal is 7 - roughly 3 seconds following time. That is what I have my 3 set to, and I was able to beat the 98.

Your safety score is basically null when using AP so being on AP wouldn’t help you improve your safety score but it can prevent you from getting docked if someone cut in front of you.

Unsafe following is also only calculated when your care is >50mph and your are < 3 sec from the car in front of you and you get docked if you are <1s from the car in front of you. So if there isn’t a car in front of you or if it is way ahead of you, it won’t count either.
