Yup, that is a long time to wait. Really unfortunate.

Would you consider renting a car for the trip? Even a monthly rental to hold you over until you take delivery of the Tesla should be around $600. I think the monthly rental car option is easier than buying and selling a another car. Possibly cheaper too.

Have you checked renal car rates recently? In most places $600 will get you a rental for car for 3-5 days.

mine showed up right away after June 12 order. It was steady for quite a while before changing

mine showed up right away when I ordered in May and said June 30th delivery

Just one datapoint, but when I ordered at the end of June, I was told “September” for the first day and then got a date range of late August - mid September on day number 2. That said, I was already less than three months away from September, so don’t know if that would change anything.

Also, if they are going to be producing MY in Texas starting in November/December they may not have firm dates yet.
