My patience is starting to run out with Tesla. Have been told for the past month my MYLR would be here soon. They know the urgency of my situation. I even had the opportunity to buy an inventory model that wasn’t close to the specs as my order, but I was told not to get it because my VIN should be here anyday. I am going to test drive a Mach E this afternoon.
Unfortunately this is just the situation all carmakers are facing. A Mach e I think is a 6+ month wait at this point FYI.

We ordered May 14th. I was told end of June, then it kept moving back. Our EDD Shows NOVEMBER 15th - DECEMBER 5th. That's pretty insane. Our SA has kept telling me August, so I'm going to believe him until I hear otherwise. I had to wait 3 months for my X back in the day, so I'm sort of used to this, but my wife has gotten pretty frustrated. I keep having to talk her off the ledge...
5/26 order. But when I placed my order at the showroom after my test drive, the Sales Advisor told me I wouldn’t get a car until September. So glad he did, because my initial EDDs were in July, then August, now just sitting at 9/5 - 9/25. Who knows, but hopefully his September prediction was right?

I know some people were complaining a few weeks ago about how long they were on hold waiting for DCU to process their loan documents. Here is my experience.

TL:DR version: I wanted to get 100% financing, with $0 down. Tesla didn't offer that (even with a rate match), so I went with DCU for 1.24%, $0 down, 65 months. Very easy process. Got a check the next day (on a Saturday!) after signing through DocuSign.

---------------------------

I applied for financing with DCU online (super easy) on June 29th. I got an email saying they needed a vehicle purchase agreement to finish processing the loan with a link where I could upload the document. Obviously I didn't have a VIN, so no MVPA yet. My loan application was good for 45 days.

I received my VIN on Day 44 (*phew!). I contacted my SA and had her change my financing from Tesla (Chase) to 3rd party and told her I would be financing 100% with DCU. She put that info in the system and emailed me the MVPA with all of that info included (VIN, DCU as financing party, amounts due, etc).

I quickly uploaded the MVPA to DCU using the link provided. I got a confirmation email that the docs were received by DCU & call the number listed to complete the processing. It was late, so I decided to call the next morning. Friday morning, I called and the hold times were about 45min to 1hr20. The system prompted me if I wanted a call back and it would hold my place in line. Sure enough I got a call back in about an hour and ended up only waiting about on hold for a total of 10 minutes.

The woman I spoke with was extremely helpful and I added GAP insurance for $295 while were were on the phone (since I was financing 100%). She went over the terms and we set up my first auto-draft for 60 days out! She was very familiar with Tesla and asked questions about the design I had chosen. We also discussed whether I wanted to send the money directly to Tesla but I told her I would prefer to have a check to take with me. That wasn't a problem, she would have a check to my house within 1 to 2 biz days. She also said I would get a DocuSign no later than EOB. I think it came through a few hours later. I signed - and within an hour - I had a FedEx tracking number for a next day, Saturday delivery!

Getting a loan from DCU couldn't have been easier and I ended up having a check in hand for my delivery in plenty of time.

This is just my experience, but if you would like a referral to DCU, pls PM me or comment on the post if you are new and can't PM yet.
Hey there! Can't PM you, but could you give me a referral for DCU? I noticed you're in Atlanta and you used them. I'm in SF and the best rates from my CU seem to be in the mid 2.5% range. Would love to get 1.xx%!!

Hey 👋🏼 They delivered yesterday! Originally scheduled for Monday at 9am but they had to push it back a day due to some issue with the dmv. They drove her over around noon and she was flawless! The entire delivery process was efficient and seamless, took about 15 mins to complete paperwork & checklist. I love her so much!!

are you still on for delivery today?

quick edit for those who are waiting: I ordered 5/25. Taking delivery yesterday put me at 84 days. Leading up to VIN, my EDD pushed out one day at a time (always two weeks away). Then boom, I got the VIN and same day they tell me the car is in transport and will arrive the next day! So in the span of a week I got my vin, scheduled delivery and then delivery of my Y! My EDD was 100% inaccurate the entire time. But this is just my experience!
Congratulations.....Was going to pick up MY LR from Mt Kisco, NY on 8/16. They called me a day before that the windshield glass is broken. Don't know the ETA yet. Ordered 5/18. MY LR, Blue, black int, no Tow, No FSD. What a horrible experience it is. I think that would put me 90+ days now and the select league of 90+club....and still waiting.

Are you able to send a referral over to me as well? I'm not able to pm. Thanks!

That sounds incredibly frustrating, I'm sorry this is happening to you. I would keep pestering them until they give you an update, 90+ days is ridonkulous

I doubt thats the case. All the parts are identical except for the suspension, wheels and brakes. I'm thinking this is business decision to compete with the used car market and also make more money in the process. You can see used tesla selling for outrageous amount of money so why not capitalize on that? Im sure they have a production line separately from the LR and it may cost them more money and time to keep changing it out.
Those were the parts I mentioned. My point is why buy a car from a company that is pissing you off? Who cares what the reason is.
