My EDD just updated this morning from 9/15 - 9/30 to 9/18 - 9/30. It was steady at 9/8 9/9 - 9/28 9/29 for weeks except for brief generic October the past few weekends before shifting from Oct back to 9/15 - 9/30 this past Monday.

Still VINless and I still believe the EDD is just Tesla torturing me as I mentioned in a past post how I went in to a showroom a week ago and a SA looked further into my order on their end and notified me that they see my car being built around the end of October for an estimated early November delivery.

Can't wait to see pics. I convinced my GF to go out and get a late breakfast with me, little does she know the place I want is near the delivery center and I'd like to just cruise by, you know to see....
So cruised by the delivery center north of Atlanta. It was filled with Teslas. Tons of them. And there was a truck pulling up to deliver a bunch of Model Y's as I went by. Absolutely slammed. But was cool to cruise by, even if I was making the GF hangry, and had to get moving to brunch.

You didn’t pull over and ask the truck driver how long it took to get there from Las Vegas?! That’s exercising extreme restraint lol

Just took delivery. Dropping the ICE car at home and talking the new girl out for a spin.

Look I wanted to pull in and push my way to the front of the crowd and ask them to give me lat long coords of my car, but the glare I was getting about the promise of brunch, I kept driving

I just looked at my MVPA and noticed that the odometer is 15 miles. Who’s been driving my car dude? Maybe that’s normal in the delivery process, not sure really. But I’ve bought several new cars over the years and there’s usually less than 5 miles on the car when I picked it up. Not a deal breaker by any means, and maybe it’s more typical with Tesla’s delivery.

I wrote my SC last week and actually got a phone call from a delivery specialist this afternoon. I thought he was going to tell me my car is there…that they were accelerating my VIN-to-delivery timeframe because I’m a may order.

duh.

he was very nice and caveated my 9/11-30 EDD, telling my that i should get my vin soon and then, two weeks later, my car. But there’s no guarantee it’ll happen. I told him about my EOQ concerns: getting my east coast order deVINned so Tesla could show revenue for a car delivered in Cali and moving my delivery to Q4. He basically didn’t address my questions.

I also told him that I would like an inventory car if someone refused delivery or he saw something that was like my build. He said he has the same access as I do and that there’s high demand so it’s not likely.

this was my 1st tesla phone call since right after I ordered. While I did not learn anything, I now have my hopes up that I could get a car this month.

still looking at the polestar….

Fair enough. Hangry is real real with my crew. We don’t go anywhere without at least an emergency granola bar on standby 😂

It’s been the consensus on here that 15 is just a placeholder on the paperwork. We test drove a MY fresh off the truck and it only had 3 miles. Had a few more than that when we returned it 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I called the 888# the last two Fridays to make sure my profile was good and both people I talked to made a point to tell me that they thought I’d have my car mid September. With the caveat that things could change, but I thought it unusual because I never brought up dates or potential VIN assignment. I think that MSM color has been a hold up for many. I also think you’re really close. Positive thoughts.
