Current Delivery Times

Same thing happened to me on Sunday. I resubmitted all the info on the application and now now 2 days it says “credit decision pending”. Which is weird since the first time around, the loan was approved in seconds. In parallel to this, my delivery date pushed out 3 weeks and is now October 5-20 (vs sept 15-30).
So just got off the phone with a “specialist” and she urged me to submit again saying the car will be delivered in less than 60 days. Lol
The various answers, reason and timelines are just comical. The only reason I’m putting up with all this is because I love my Model S and think that my wife will enjoy this MY. Congrats to all the new Vinners! I’m sure some of you folks waiting will wake up to good news in the coming EOQ push.

Here's a PSA for anyone new to buying a Tesla:

When you order your car, make sure you use a referral link so you get the 1000 free Supercharging miles. Even if you've already ordered, you can find someone you know that has a Tesla, ask them for their referral code, and email your SA and they can apply the code after the fact (has to be before delivery I believe). If you don't know anyone, just ask in the forums and someone will gladly help you out.
According to my SA, if you live in VA or OH, you can't get referrals due to some state laws. The other 48 states, you can. Unfortunately, I live in VA.

Wait what? Is this true for both being referred and referring others? I've gotta dig into this. First I'm hearing of it.
Unfortunately, that looks accurate:

Eligibility

Must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for benefits and are non-transferable or redeemable for cash. The customer is responsible for all taxes and local requirements and fees. Program and awards are conditional on and subject to local laws and regulations. Unfortunately, Ohio and Virginia residents are not eligible for referral program awards.

The customer may not be an employee, legal representative or partner of Tesla or any Affiliate of Tesla. Nothing in the Referral Program shall be deemed to create any kind of relationship between the referrer and Tesla or any of Tesla’s Affiliates. The referrer has no authority to represent or bind Tesla. Terms and conditions are subject to change.

Also, something else people might not realize:

Free Supercharging miles can be used by any vehicles on the same account and will expire 6 months after the miles are added.

Wait.. really?? I tried to add a referral code on an order I put in 7/15 but was told that isn't possible. I'm in NJ sooo.. hmm...

If you ordered AND completed profile on 1 July, I'm actually inclined to believe this SA that you called!

I think within the next 60 days is quite likely. Good luck!

I'd certainly keep trying... If your SA won't do it, email your Delivery Advisor, and if that doesn't work, try the 888-518–3752 number (a few times to get different people if necessary). Be as nice as you can. They definitely have the power to do it.

My SA was unresponsive so someone on the forums posted up to email: [email protected]
I emailed them on Thursday last week, and I got an auto response saying they would get back to me in 3 business days, so I believe it would be either today or tomorrow I should hear back about them adding a referral code to my inventory order.

A solid catch! I don't have a referral attached to my vehicle. Does anyone have a code that they would like me to apply?

Hi guys! New to the forum and waiting on my MYLR ordered in late aug. Does anyone know if changing delivery locations reset you on the queue? Was originally assigned to Brooklyn, NY but is better to take delivery in Long Island, NY?
Welcome to the club of pain and misery.....

Talk to your SA about it. If it isn't too far, I wouldn't suggest changing the location, to avoid being pushed to the end of the queue, meaning delivery in next year.

I would like to add:

And don't forget to refer yourself when you inevitably buy a second Tesla ;)

Hmmm. Good news is I'm not an OH resident, just buying and registering in OH, so I may be able to get around that based on the terminology. I'll have to look for the actual law that prohibits it and reach out to my SA.
