Daytona Yellow Brake Calipers on P85

Had Ruby's P85 brake calipers painted "Daytona Yellow" yesterday...It took about 5 hours to complete, and I think it turned out pretty well...Look out now!

I got the red calipers on my Steel Grey with grey cyclone and I love them.

So you painted them without removing them from the car? Did you use a high-temp engine paint? Any tricks or secrets that you can share, now that you have done it once?

I guess I could have just done red calipers like everyone else (on my red car)....But that's just not me...

I don't think the red calipers look good on the red car either because the red paint on the calipers from Tesla is no where near the multi coat red color on the car. I would suggest considering a third color choice that might compliment the multi coat red.

Here are the color choices available for the Duplicolor high temperature ceramic paint....For me, it was Daytona yellow or Grabber Green Lime...

Love it. Everyone has red or black. It's nice to be different. If you paint your cyclone to a darker color, the yellow will POP! But of course, I'm biased.

I am getting mine painted gloss yellow, this color code PPG 84028. Chrome delete is also being done, will post up some photos.
