Dedham MA waiting room

When I was there yesterday, the guy I was working with told me that they're transitioning to home delivery in part due to Ford making a big stink about them delivering cars on site in the area. Didn't want to prod any deeper into that, but the guy was clearly frustrated because all of the frustration from customers gets directed at them.

Finally just got word that my car made it to Dedham this morning. I had to reach out to delivery specialist that covers the entire north east because nobody at the actual delivery center will respond to me so shout out to Vanessa. Hoping she can push my car to get picked up this afternoon.

As for payment, I pre-paid my down payment (financing 80% of the car) because I just wanted to make this as easy as possible. I did see somebody paying with a personal check at the delivery center yesterday. As for personal checks for home delivery, I do not know if you can. Maybe they'd be more likely to accept a cashier's check.

Quickly losing my patience here. They gave me a special number to contact them at and I still can't get any response. At this point, I just want an answer. I no longer have a delivery appointment in my account and it's now saying "December delivery"....

I think I ended up where you are. I went down to Dedham today and they assured me it would be loaded today/tomorrow with a home delivery on Wednesday. No idea if it’ll happen, but I don’t have a delivery appointment either anymore listed since mine passed last Friday. I guess home deliveries don’t show on the main account.

Sorry you didn't get delivery yet! Did you already made the payment? If you get a chance please let us know how the home delivery went.

Already made the payment, which I’m concerned about last Friday when I signed all the paperwork.

I asked them specifically how any issues or damage is resolved. The person delivering will walk through the car with me and note any issue which they will resolve.

I’m cautiously optimistic about delivery tomorrow so will let folks here know how it goes if it happens.
 
Well new delivery date for next Monday. My expectations are still low but for all you worrying about payments and delivery, be patient. And fight the resistance to cancel, well I’ve been close multiple times. Customer service has been bad and I’ve paid for my car almost 2 months ago. But I still want this car. Only way I cancel now is if car again has quality issues or gets delayed towards later in December. I would think home deliveries would need payments prior.

Well that all happened quickly. Got a hold of the guy who I guess is the delivery coordinator at Dedham and he expedited things due to me going out of town tomorrow. Got the car delivered to my house about two hours ago. Couldn't really inspect the paint because it was dark and snowy outside, so gonna double check it tomorrow.

Also, apparently Mass. is out of EV plates? My car has normal plates and the guy who did the registration said they're all gone.

Got the car delivered to my house about two hours ago. Couldn't really inspect the paint because it was dark and snowy outside, so gonna double check it tomorrow.

Also, apparently Mass. is out of EV plates? My car has normal plates and the guy who did the registration said they're all gone.

Sorry to hear about your experience. This is exactly what i'm afraid might happen. Pay $50K and don't have a car for months, while paying monthly payments on the debt. Hopefully there is some sort of compensation Tesla will offer you for all your financial losses. I will fight making a payment without having my car delivered.

Congratulations! Did a truck deliver your car or was it driven to your house? How long did it take for them to home deliver since your assigned delivery date at Dedham? To bad they ran out of EV plates, I was looking forward to have them. Thanks for letting us know

Congrats @Pimentaco. Inspect that car closely tomorrow. I have a feeling I’ll get there on Monday and either the car will be the previous car I rejected that they sent to the body shop. Or the car won’t be there and will be in RI, Chicago or even CA like on my original delivery.

Any chance you could share the contact info for the delivery coordinator for Dedham? I'm supposed to be taking delivery tomorrow and want to make sure nothing goes wrong.

I just launched my Tesla app and found my car was no longer associated with my account. Should I be worried? I still have the VIN on the website but now with a December delivery.
 
Was at Dedham today and crazier than ever...zero parking....loads of staff running their butts off...Model 3s everywhere. I've never seen a car dealer this busy and it's like this everyday at Tesla Dedham.

I think they're open to home delivery as they've simply run out of space at this location.

For those having delivery anxiety, I'm picking up my 3rd Tesla from this location and even though their communication regarding deliveries is a bit discombobulated once you get the car it's smooth sailing. The car is amazing(of course!) service is super responsive etc.
