Pretty standard Tesla delivery BS. Mine ended being in CA after waiting total of 7 hrs on 2 different days. The crap we put up with to get a Tesla.

Under 19” TST description they say flow forged. Under FAQs it says they are cast. I know they were supposedly transitioning to flow forged. If they were flow forged, I would do these. If you find out what they are, please let us know.

Congrats @Pimentaco. Inspect that car closely tomorrow. I have a feeling I’ll get there on Monday and either the car will be the previous car I rejected that they sent to the body shop. Or the car won’t be there and will be in RI, Chicago or even CA like on my original delivery.

It takes them 2 seconds to ping your cars location. I wasted 2 days of my life for them to finally ping my car and see it was still in CA. For people driving in further, especially the Wednesday before thanksgiving, I would ask them to ping car before coming in. Traffic will be a nightmare and...

I drove by the back lot yesterday and they had absolutely no vehicles in stock. I was surprised to see it so empty. Also, Dedham has never done Sunday deliveries. You can’t in this state since DMV or RMV is closed. You can in many other states with temporary plates.

I could understand afternoon delivery since there has been frost on cars in morning. I would actually push for afternoon delivery to allow better inspection of paint.

Knowing what I’m going through, if you could look at car before making a decision, I would recommend anyone to do this. It’s a crapshoot if your car will be one of the “better” ones.

Seems like people on TMC have called already and got confirmation they can get 5k back but won’t receive check for months.

Wouldn’t consider it a free paint job if you pay that much for a car. Shouldn’t it come with a new paint job?

Do not pay anything ahead of time. Bring the checks with you the day of delivery.

I rejected it. Guess it wasn’t meant to be. Delivery now scheduled for Monday for a VIN that’s earlier than the car I rejected. Probably a prior reject...:mad:

So if this was disclosed to you during delivery would you cancel or ask for price adjustment? Or if the car looked as good as you’ve seen, accept it with open arms?

So they won’t disclose this unless it’s 5% more than what the car is worth? I’ve already rejected an 82xxx car and now I’m getting a 72xxx car which is likely a prior reject. Most people likely don’t know and think they just got one of the better ones...

I got nowhere with emails, phone calls or text. Only time I got anywhere was speaking directly to the manager at my delivery center. It’s been frustrating for me too and I paid for the car already. The end is near for me and should be for you too soon. Hang in there.

I almost switched to white and my DC outside of Boston was willing to ship the only one available to me from Salt Lake City but I decided to stay with MSM because it should be here in next day or 2. At least, that’s what they say...

That’s ridiculous. Why do you need the front plate on? I’m getting ppf on front right after delivery, if that ever happens, and definitely don’t want that front plate on beforehand.

I asked them to have service look at it but didn’t want to commit to the swap before I knew if they could do something. Plus I’m not sure I want to go down the route of repainting the entire front hood. Although it’s a crap shoot because my car could have issues too, likely will given quality...

Decided to pass on the VIN swap (car swap) they had planned for me since there were a couple scratches on the car. One deep one on front hood near windshield/driver door that likely would need repaint. They didn’t give me an update on my car either. Back to the waiting game...ugh

Yeah there are some that took delivery at the end of Q3. My P3D+ failed to be delivered at the end of Q3 but hoping for a VIN swap and delivery this week. Should be soon for the both of you!

Doesn’t seem worth it if you could get the TST’s for significant amount less...

Went to my DC to check on status of my delivery. Car is only in New Mexico, destination Boston. Checked their back lot for similar lookin configurations. Funny thing is, I found my original VIN assigned to me back there with inventory on the windshield. Should I ask for a reassignment?

Are there issues with inventory car? Or they just have miles on them? I’ve been waiting as well like OP and my car is only in New Mexico (destination Boston). The funny thing is, the original VIN that was assigned to me, is sitting in their back lot with inventory on the windshield!

Matt Vaught. He has moved into energy department at Tesla. They basically used all these people with no delivery experience for Q3 push.

Yes. Been bumped once and with my second VIN the car is still in CA. There is another thread where people have been bumped multiple times. Not cool with what Tesla is doing.

Also happening is Tesla will give you a VIN shortly before delivery but if that car configuration matches someone on the west coast, then they will sell that car to them first.

You guys are all on the west coast who’s saying a few wks.

Like @pbd87 said, if you live in CA, delivery will be fast. If you live on east coast like me or anywhere else in between, you will get delayed delivery like others have said and push you beyond 2 months. Still waiting and ordered on 8/2.
