I haven't seen it mentioned here, but on Plugshare.com and our local Austin/San Antonio owners group email there are lots of warnings about how the EV Charge America charging stations in downtown San Antonio parking garages don't work for Teslas and cause the car to shut off. The city of San Antonio has notified us that these charging stations are being replaced:

Austin-San Antonio Tesla Owners, we thank you for forwarding your
experiences with the City of San Antonio's EV America charging stations.
Please know that the power had been shut off to all the EV America charging
stations in city-owned parking garages several months ago. Moreover, the
charging stations are covered to prevent electric vehicles from connecting.

City Council approval to transfer ownership of the City-owned EV Charge
America to CPS Energy is tentatively scheduled for November 2014. Upon City
Council approval, CPS Energy proposes to replace the EV America charging
stations with ChargePoint stations in early 2015. These will include
stations at the following City of San Antonio parking facilities: Houston
Street Garage; St. Mary's Garage; Library Garage; and the Marina Garage.
Additionally, the city-owned location at the Thousand Oaks Library will also
be transferred to CPS Energy. However, the two locations at the City of San
Antonio's International Airport Long Term Parking Garage are operating with
no reported incidents and will not be replaced or transferred to CPS Energy.

CPS Energy has provided written assurance that the replacement Charge Point
stations are identical to the EV charging stations already installed by CPS
Energy and that they have proven to work well with a variety electric
vehicles, including the Tesla Model S.

Last time I drove by Thousand Oaks Library the "charging station" there was a metal post with nothing attached to it. Maybe I'll remember to swing by after work today to see if it's still the case.

At any rate, hooray for more charging infrastructure!
