Destination charger settings

Scanning through various forums it appears that some HPWCs (newer models / different markets ?) cannot be switched (DIP Sw. 2 down) to Legacy (Type 2 protocol) mode. The current Tesla HPWC manual says leave DIP Sw 2 in the up position.
Can anybody share some light on this one, please?

On older HPWC DIP switch 2 in the down position gives a Type 2 charge control signal on the CP pin which works for Teslas and other EVs. This is called Legacy mode in Tesla speak and is a 1kHz +-12V signal towards the earth pin. On newer HPWCs the switch does nothing or there are no DIP switches at all. Sad but true.
