Displaying Video

Has anyone figured out a way to display videos on the center display? Sure would be nice on a long road trip. For the passengers of course

Yes, but it involves an iPad and double sided tape.

You won't be able to use it out of park, since displaying video visible to a driver while not in park is illegal.

However, the request to view videos (for example off a jumpdrive/USB drive) has been around since, oh, 2012.

We're still waiting on that one....

Good to know the request is out there but parking requirement will not be easy to get around. Kind of makes it null and void.

I could imagine tons of cases where it'd be great to watch a movie or video on the touchscreen while in park:

1. While waiting at a Supercharger
2. Waiting to pick someone up--watch an episode of your favorite TV show.
3. If you're camping and you want to catch a movie in the car.
4. Waiting for a ferry (which I do frequently)

etc.

It could be useful even though it can't be used out of park.
