Does the key fob change seat settings?

This "non-owner's question" may be answered somewhere here, but I can't find it. I know that one can set different seat/steering wheel/mirror settings for a number of different drivers. Are these keyed to different fobs (or rather 'toy cars') so that as you approach the car (if you have the tech package) it unlocks, the handles present themselves, and the seat/steering wheel/mirrors adjust themselves to the owner of the approaching fob? Our 2001 Volvo V70 does this, though (obviously) only when you unlock the door by pressing a button on one of the two different fobs. Many thanks.
