I think it can do slightly better. This was my 4th run and it was not my best 0-60 or best 1/8 mile, but decided to call it a day as the brakes were smelling toasty! The stretch of road is only 1/2 mile long and comes to a T intersection so had to get on the brakes pretty good after each run. The first three runs I didnt actually compete the whole 1/4, letting off right at the very end. On this one, I waited till I saw 130 MPH on the speedo. My other runs were 11.48 @ 88.26 MPH, 10.93 @ 119.79 MPH and 10.97 @ 129.20 MPH.

On this run, my 0-60 was 3.35 sec while my best was 3.29 sec. The 1/8 was 7.17 @ 104.48 MPH which also was not my best, best was 7.12 @ 104.72 MPH, so on a perfect run I could see the quarter ending up at 10.8X at 130-131 honestly.

Excellent. Just mentioned your runs on the main MS thread, so you may get some questions. Great work my dude. :)

I think this thread might have been better split with the Plaid separate from the LR. It is about 95% Plaid currently since so few LRs are out yet. Not to mention most of the people buying the Plaid are performance focused and maybe more likely to go to the track or use Dragy.

Personally my interest is in the LR I have on order. So more interested in the performance of the LR ultimately anyway but interesting to read about the Plaid at times as some things may translate to the LR.
I originally started a Plaid-only one with my initial results, then this one started to get more traffic and seemed more inclusive. Honestly, I think we thought we'd get more LR folks posting info.

Oh, no, the Michelins are holding up nicely. However, I need something for winter around here--it will get into the low 30s and the summer tire compound turns to rock at those temps. An AS tire for the 21s is currently a unicorn and likely to be ridiculously expensive. I picked up a set of the 19" crab claw Cardeno rims via Tesla parts and am trying to decide on which tires to put on them--get the Contis that Tesla will sell or the Michelin Pilot Sport AS.
So, ordered the Michelins. They should get delivered and mounted on the wheels next week. I can maybe get some times on the 19s next weekend.

No shame in that game. This is what I was hoping for when we gave up the thought of a Plaid. A solid 10 second car for under 80k (well at least when I ordered mine) is a pretty damn good deal. The fact I can take most of my family along for the ride is even better. A set of lighter weight wheels and it likely would be even better. Nice runs @HX_Guy !

Great runs! Thanks for testing and letting us know. Now test the 19s! 😁

Amazing that the LR can run neck to neck with a R8 V10, GTR or Ferrari 458.

It's all around amazing and the perfect daily.

Also to clarify, this was on the 21" Twin Turbine wheels + 20mm spacers set up, which are a solid +10LBS over stock 19s on each corner. I imagine with some lighter wheels, it can do even better. But it does look sweet! :D

Haha...I think I gotta pass on spending another 3 hours swapping wheels. :p

Would be a fun race with my other car...gotta find another driver first though! :D

Best looking modern Ferrari in my opinion. 👍

Just drive the 458 and let anyone drive the LR, it is really easy to drive the LR. It’s quite amazing to think the 458 would lose to the « base » ModelS. 😳

I was actually kind of surprised on how "loose" the LR felt at speed, the steering wheel is too light. Didnt' feel super confident inspiring, but I also didn't have the steering in "Sport" mode, which may help?
