Drive inverter Warning: Motor encoder error detected in harware

Hi, I got this message this morning and PRND is red. Mechanic thinks it's the speed sensor. Anyone got this before?

I have the same error. I would be interested if you are able to fix it. I swapped the speed sensor and cable, error still persists.

That was the drive unit connector finally. Have it check by a garage.

A hardware issue with the motor encoder could not be a sensor issue, unless the warning is incorrect. Are you having any problems or issues being reported by the car outside of the service interface? If not, there is nothing wrong with your car. If there was, you would get a warning like every other Tesla owner gets -- not in the service menu. Tesla will put a real password in the service menu if customers report every transient error they might see in the service menu.

yes, that was the connector that plugs to the drive unit which was corroded. Tesla doesn't have parts for drive unit so I had to buy new unit.... never again Tesla!
