Even if it is raining?Until it gets faster, I don't really see a point in using it besides to show off...but I guess it won't get faster unless people keep using it.

Or if you're on crutches.Even if it is raining?
Or if you're on crutches.
I guess it remains to be seen how it works in rain though?
Enhanced Summon in action!! Except for being a bit slow (which I am sure will improve over time), it looks pretty good to me. The car was able to navigate the parking lot and come to the driver on its own.
I do. It obviously applies physics first principles.Lovely, didn't know people drove over parking spaces.

(Plus traffic laws do not apply to private property)

Lovely, didn't know people drove over parking spaces.
Most people don't expect cars to driver over them though.
As someone who silently judges people on their lack of parking lot lane respect I would say lots of drivers run over lines. If they didn't I wouldn't be so judgmental.
In the case of Enhanced summons I think we all know why it's going to run over lines. It is because it has no down facing cameras, and hence no ability to see the lines at the start. It certainly can follow the lines once the forward cameras pick up the lines.
It's not going to be particularly good at seeing lines or curbs during the start of a summons. It's also probably why the enhanced summons is one way only, and not "hey car, its time to go park yourself".
@mongo Self-park is based on ultrasonics and neighbouring cars though still, right?
Tesla’s self-park definitely has been ultrasonics fare at least until recently...
So GPY (based on current features) would only work in non full / non empty lots (although it then might circle till you come out, lost puppy mode). Seems like using the lane recognition could be integrated.
