You should be fine. Make sure your have enough structural support as these babies are not a feather weight...

I'll double check this but neither Tesla or another local installer balked at this

I have a unheated but attached garage that our three Powerwalls are installed in here in the northeast. Powerwalls can be mounted up to 1.5m from the floor going by Tesla’s install specs, and that is what we did so they are out of the way of cars and other garage stuff.

As far as cold, it regularly gets into the 20s F in our garage on the coldest January dates, but the Powerwalls seem to do fine. We tend to keep the garage door closed more now in the winter since the Powerwalls were installed, just to keep a little more heat in. In fact I think they use a bit more “trickle” energy to keep the fans running on hot summer days than they use to keep warm in the winter.
