Favourites (internet radio mostly)

Hi all, I have a number of favourites that are no longer active in this country so no longer work, but I can't seem to get rid of them. Pressing on the little star to remove the favourite doesn't work - it looks like it does as it changes to a white fill in the star but the station stays there. Anyone else had this? Any suggestions?

I hate the favourites system - it's so inflexible and seems to be impossible to re-order anything.

However, I vaguely remember that if you long press the screen in favourites you can do deletions.
