Figured Ash Wood- Wrap

Does anyone know where to get the Figured Ash Wood material? I have a project I am working on and need a small piece about 12"x12" I know there is a wrap out there, but just cannot find it.

I've searched and purchased a number of wraps from Amazon, ebay, and vendors on-line. None of them look acceptable (to me). Although the woods on Tesla panels may resemble wraps,or even contact paper, the wood ones are actually real wood veneer.

If you do find a good source, please post it back on the forum.

I found a great Obeche Matte, but the Ash Wood has been difficult to find.

The correct search phrase seems to be wood grain wrap black vinyl, and you can add glossy.

How much texture does this Obeche Matte have? I ended up with the Obeche Gloss on my inventory Model S and it's basically the only thing I wanted different.

These are great finds, but they look more like the Dark Ash. Looking for the more brown, Figured Ash.
But I am going to save these for the future.

A nice texture, and easily replaced with a wrap.

You might check with some of the people who sell the accessories like cubby drawers and such. I would imagine that some of them use wrap rather than actual veneer -- especially some of the lower priced products. Maybe they would share a supplier.

Have you thought about just asking Tesla who their supplier is? You could ask for someone at your service center to find out for you.

Figured ash has matte "open pore" type finish. You will not be able to get same natural look with wrap.

You could try to find someone who is willing to exchange his figured ash.

Has anyone asked SC if the panels can be bought as spare parts?

The timbers in Tesla are real veneers approx .6mm thick. The carbon fiber is also real carbon carbon fiber.
