Finally, I turned off the roadster's airbag light

Last year, I bought a roadster 2.5 from Hongkong. But I normally use it in China Mainland. SC here don't know how to deal with roadster (never sold), So mostly I have to DIY, I will share all the DIY stuff to community to make it easy for the new owner.

Before, I installed the CarPlay on it , which make the airbag light always-on ,that's really annoying.


Finally, I found the way to turn off the roadster's airbag light from lotus website.

All you need is Opel OBD diagnose tool,

It's hardware and software , I got it from taobao like 10$. You guys may get it from ebay search key word: opel OBD v1.70

Then, install the obd drive on your windows computer (Update drive from fold)

After installing the drive, open the fold 2010 and open the main program:

2002 / SpeedsterVX220/ Body /Airbag

The program will read the Airbag ECU,

Clear Fault Codes

Disconnect the OBD from your roadster. Turn off and on the car, the light is gone~

i don't think it has any CAN data, but it has at least K-line data - iirc, from a TPMS thread.

It doesn't have any of the normal petrol car style emissions PIDs and no ECU to respond to any of those requests. But it does have a few modules on it (like airbag, TPMS) that can be maintained.
