Found a LOT of Model 3's in a Tesla lot - Pictures inside

Our friend was one of the lucky recipients on Friday of one of those cars. He loves his red Model 3.

So didn't they start up production yesterday after a few days of hiatus?
After the Feb 20-24 shutdown, the next VIN assignments were posted on Troy's sheet on Feb 27, so I would expect a few days delay before we see cars coming out after restart.

Lots of cars in this lot - a security guard was watching me so I couldn’t get better pictures :(

Tesla Security gets to drive an X? Thats a nice perk.

It also most looks like there are enough trucks there to empty the lot as they come in. Which would be great balance. Or the drivers could run them right up onto the awaiting trucks.

Has anyone figured out where the cars in this lot's final destination is? west coast deliveries only. Southern Cal only. I've probably asked before.

Apparently you can fill a lot very quickly when you make more then 4000 cars a week.. S+X+3. Now if we only knew how many. Let the Vin counting and projections begin.
At 5000 per week they need to clear about 42 cars an hour 24 hours a day, 5 days per week. Assuming 50% are destined for Richmond train yard and 50% west coast, they need ten to 15 trucks running full time to the train yard. The rest are on one to three day round trips. About 50 loads per day on those 1-3 day trips. A fleet of 200 trucks, is that enough? Model SX would be closer to 75% local shipping, with 1/3 west coast, 1/3 port 80 and 1/3 for the rest of USA over rail.

The 42 cars an hour seems right but that seems like a heck of a lot of cars. So everytime a car begins production a minute and a half later one is coming off the line. Taking into consideration the time is takes to add wheels, windshields or doors we can figure out what would take longer than 90 seconds to complete during the assembly of the car and we have our bottleneck if that makes any sense. I would think it would take longer than 90 seconds to complete a paint job. Thanks for the updates.

I had fun on Friday the 13th of April cruising this lot in my Model X:

A friend who works nearby had reported the "stash lot" to me.

The only reason the guard in a minivan realized I was recording is I was driving slowly with my right hand on the wheel and my left hand holding my iPhone out my driver's side window! LOL He just followed me at a respectful distance.

My X is going in for service -- no, not my ex-wife(!) -- soon. A 2018 Model X P100D loaner has been set aside for me. I think that happened because my lease expires in 11 months so Tesla hopes I will replace it with one of those...? Anyway, it will be fun to cruise their lot in their vehicle with MFG plates. Even more fun to launch their X at 3 am on an empty freeway... Fun times to be alive.

Honestly, I was freaking nervous driving by 100's of brand new Tesla's with only one hand on the wheel!

Go Elon (please get some sleep) and team!

Ramp!

Many thanks to all of you for taking the time to collect and post all the Model 3 Parking Lot Porn!

Saw these cars in a lot about a half mile South of the Fremont delivery center. It's the Lot just South of Pivotal Systems
