...they will be stockpiling cars at the delivery centers and factory lots, waiting for 7/1 to open the floodgates.

You need to be able to stockpile close to 10k cars or more for a few weeks, if needed. Is it even possible to stockpile that many? Perhaps distribute them across various states?
My biggest question about stockpiling is how many cars can the delivery centers reasonably deliver and how long will it take to clear the stockpiles? Some of the larger ones could probably move pretty fast but the regular stores can only do so many a day - maybe they'll start doing group deliveries!

Tesla should sponsor giant regional Pot Luck Suppers. "Bring a dish to share, take home a Model 3!"

When I was in the Cherry Hill, NJ store I asked (half jokingly) about them setting up a tent in the back parking lot. The rep said that is something they have thought about. They have just started deliveries so I think that won't happen any time soon

I was surprised how small that back parking area was there. It was full of mostly non-Teslas as it was when I visited, I can’t imagine where they are going to store large quantities of deliveries, let alone maintenance drop-offs and loaners!

5/15/18 around 7:30am - looks like the transports are keeping up with the 4k/week production!

I wonder if there are any other single car factories out there pumping out 600+ cars per day.

I don't think 600 cars per day is that out of the ordinary. Ford's new Kansas city plant, for example, makes 700,000 F150s a year. Toyota's plant in Kentucky churns out 550,000 a year. VM's plant in Wolfsburg Germany pumps out 3,800 cars A DAY. Crazy.

How many battery packs do these plants make in a single day, week or a year?

Please don't answer. Just rhetorical question to drive down the point that making 1000 gas cars a day is different than making 600 EVs with an average pack size of 80 kWh each day.
