Hey,
Just want to share my crazy experience today. I suppose taking delivery tomorrow. I tried to talked to the delivery specialist about get this offer on my delivery. It's really not possible.

Tesla allows discounts and offers 2 years of free Supercharging for end-of-the-quarter push - Electrek

So end up taking a hit, cancel the delivery tomorrow. I went to the dealership, there're a lot of phone call, and walk-in people asking about this.

Here's what I know.
1. A internal email was send out to sales about the offer, free 2Y SC, 19", paint upgrade.
2. Delivery need to be taken before 10/1

There're no referral code for 2Y SC, just 2,000 free supercharge. Once you order, the sales has to go in create a case to change the 2Y free SC.

It will not shown the 19" and paint free in the order. You just need to put 19", and upgrade paint in the order.
Once a VIN is assign, the 19" wheel and upgrade paint will offer as credit.

As we all know, Tesla doesn't look at the order to build the car, it depends on what configuration currently they're building in the production line. If your configuration matches one, and you're at the head of the queue. Then that VIN number will assign to you sooner.

Given that information, you show order ASAP. So the popular configuration can have a long queue, and delay your delivery.

But what happens if what you order delivers to you 10/1?
You need to get very lucky to have a new custom order actually deliver on time

It sounds like it would make batches of Model 3 prior to anyone ordering them and it's a matter of mix and match just like the traditional dealership just for this end of the quarter special.

No doubt they want to sell them
But if your config is not already made or in production now I don’t see how it will work out

Wait times have been over 3 weeks lately on custom, end of Month is 2 weeks away

If you are flexible : I imagine you could wait it out a week and a half, see where you stand and switch to another config that is ready at that point

Damn, I ordered 7/31 and my car is just now paid for and is shipping to me. I hope they add it as a thanks for waiting for 7 weeks and don’t force me to cancel and reorder.

This promotion is intended to get more cars delivered this quarter from out of stock. They are not giving away free options when you order. Only if your configuration is not available from stock will they search for another color or wheel size to get you delivered before EOQ.

Some customers are going to get some nice upgrades as Tesla try to get everyone that orders into a car by EOM.

It depends on where you're in the country. If you're in bay area (close to Fremont factory), it's very likely you can get one on time.
But you're in other state, I don't think it has enough time.

Anyway, not much to lose if it doesn't make it on 10/1.

I wouldn't be so hopeful about delivery times matching 2 weeks. I placed an order on 8/24 at the Walnut Creek store and have not heard anything. However, several copies of my exact build have been shipped out of state and are available in different existing inventories. I suppose if you aren't in any rush to take delivery of car sooner and CANT get your SA to add on the free SC then there's nothing to lose. I would just hope that Elon doesn't change the price of FSD for those wanting to add it on after taking delivery to get the credit card points.

Either way, good luck!

According to Tesla employee on private facebook page, Elon got mad and shutdown the incentives when previous customers complained.
