Front Console line item

The cars that switched to 100 got a new line item on the config page - has anyone figured out what that "Front Console" is?

It's not a new item.
X 90D had it on Jan 14th (before 100D became available), I hazard to guess it was added when they streamlined the interior choices to the set bundles.

Every Model-X comes with a front console, but the Model-S originally didn't have that option. I suspect that every Model-X will always come with a front console (rather than a gaping space) and Tesla just added the line-item for "marketing" purposes. Makes you feel like you're getting something more.

However, it is possible that they will eventually make the front console an option and include it with one of the packages (like PUP), and this is the first step in that direction.
