Front window issues after tint

Hello, long time Tesla owner (2013 S, 2018 3, 2022 S) here. We picked up a 2016 Model X last week and took it in to get tinted yesterday. Upon completion the drivers window is now misaligned and now doesn’t seat into the trim seal when closing. The window and is extending about halfway up the outside of the window trim. The detailer denies they caused the issue. The passenger window is having issues as well. That window seats in the seal but then re opens a couple inches before stopping. I read through some options on recalibrating the windows using the window switches but that did not resolve the issue. Amy suggestions on how I will need to fix this? Is this something I can do from home or will it need to be taken in to the service center or maybe a window specialist like Safelite?

I am not letting the detailer touch the car again.

Thanks for any feedback on how to resolve

I don't understand this. Can you post a pic? Yeah, I wouldn't let the tinter try to fix it if even they know how to.

Ok, that's what I thought.

Pretty shady to deliver the car like this! Seems to me they passed too hard when squeegee the slip solution out.

Does the window travel correctly on its way up, or is it already sticking out away from the gaskets on the way up?

I'm not sure because I've never done it, but I think the window calibration is just for height.

It looks like it’s tracking correctly but as it gets closer to the top the window doesn’t stay with the contour of the car. I comes in contact with the bottom of the trim just enough to push it out instead of in towards the seal. This seal was deformed when we got the car on the drivers side at the front top edge of the window but there wasn’t a problem until we got it tinted. Pictures are drivers side and passenger side seal at top of window.

There's surely a mechanical adjustment that can remedy this, but I don't know. If no one respods with an adjustment in this thread schedule a Tesla service.

Hindsight twenty twenty, you should not have done the tint. The more complications (especially third party stuff), the higher the possibility of failure. Keep it simple stupid. KISS (or something like that). I am so sorry this does not help

Thanks, this is my fourth Tesla (two Model S and one Model 3). Every car has had the windows tinted and I have never experienced any issues. Wasn’t sure if this could be unique to the Model X.

What have you decided to do?
I scheduled an appointment with Tesla service on the 13th to address the issue. I contacted the detailed and they are adamant that the tint process didn’t cause the issue (no door liners removed, window not pulled on or anything) but did agree to cover the Tesla service cost if it is determined that the tint process caused the issue.

Thanks for the update. Please keep people updated here about final outcome. It will be appreciated

is the computer throwing any error codes?

did you try going into Service mode, unlock the Gateway, goto Closures and Windows, then calibrate the windows?

diy adjust the inside rails/tracks that guide the window

diy window regulator removal and replacement
Nope. Too much work. Who does that. Much easier to open a support case with a tap in your phone 😂🤯🤦‍♂️
