In my eyes it looks much smaller. Perhaps as wide - but the length is shorter. Compare the main entrance with the same in Austin.
But it also looks like it will be built in two parts connected by bridges.

Wow. Presumably done to allow cooling to be done outside? Then again, these are big parts, so storing them inside might simply be a waste of space.Tobias Lindh latest video form the Berlin Gigafactory has a nice shot of a virtual field full of Model Y castings.

My initial thought back when they started doing this was that the reason for stockpiling was they were worried about the Russian gas shutoff, which is used for aluminum melting. But Europe has had a mild winter with no shortage of natural gas supplies. Maybe they just make them in huge runs?Wow. Presumably done to allow cooling to be done outside? Seems like a lot of WIP inventory.
Ah, that's a good guess. You never know when the German govt is going to curtail natural gas use for industrial processes. It could literally happen at any time.My initial thought back when they started doing this was that the reason for stockpiling was they were worried about the Russian gas shutoff, which is used for aluminum melting. A new youtube video tour of the Berlin Gigafactory. Turn on English etc sub-titles as it's in German.
They’re building more at Giga Berlin, this time on the logistics side. Tobias thinks it might be a warehouse.
