glass roof marked up...can't remove spots?

i can't seem to get rid of these spots all over my roof. they are definitely on the exterior of the glass, they don't feel like the glass is etched, but after washing my car a few times they won't go away. does anyone else have this issue? i plan to bring up to Tesla when i bring it in for service soon.

Did you try vinegar? Maybe water spots?

I had something similar on my windshield and Tesla had to replace it.

I tried vinegar on mine and it didn't work.

Try a clay bar. I've had good luck removing similar spots (I think it's hard water).

i will try, but i really don't think hard water stains a new glass like this? i tried cleaing several times, hard water should come off with soaps and then glass cleaner...no?

On a brand new car I would think so - as it hasn't had time to really get stuck to the glass. Curious to see how this turns out. Clay bar sounds like the best bet.

Not necessarily. It depends on what the deposit consist of. Obviously some time of mineral but it can vary. I have had to use a clay bar and/or a glass polish to remove stubborn hard water spots.

That said, I don't think those are hard water spots.

Nah. Soap etc won’t get hard water stains off anything once attached. Need something like vinegar or CLR.

Not Texas hard water. Cleaning the glass shower walls is horrific, lol. The residue left when water has evaporated is limestone and chalk...that’s what the clay bar is working on.

It seemed like it was something in the middle of the glass...I guess that is possible though. It really did look like a water stain to me, but Tesla had a detailer come out and we still couldn't get rid of it.

Am going to give this stuff a shot before breaking out the clay bar. We’ll see.
