Found this on the web where Google says their version of autopilot has reached 2 million miles.

No mention in the article about Tesla autopilot having over 200 million.
Elon Musk says Tesla’s autopilot has driven 222 million miles

Note that the 200M miles driven by Teslas are level 2-3 autopilot, those of Google are level 4. I am not sure you can really compare them like this...

Tesla's driving even when it is piloted can also be used to teach their AP, which is the essential aspect here.

So I would say the numbers can and should be compared.

So although I think Tesla's focus on AP is a dangerous distraction from their main goal of sustainable transport, I think their strategy is superior to Google's.
