Got a call for delivery

From what I remember, Model 3 deliveries were way different. They prioritized previous owners and first-day reservation holders. My husband ordered a LR RWD for his mom on the first day (he already had a Model S) and hers was one of the first delivered after employees.

I thought the Y would be the same - I ended up canceling my order and re-ordering under my husband’s account to hopefully jump up in line.

If you’re venting to Tesla, vent some for me, too! :p:D

I vented to Tesla last week, no reply so far. Sent it thought the contact link with the subject of Vehicle Ordering from the drop down. Now that they are looking like they are back up maybe I will hear something on my order. I did noticed on my account page the following: We will reach out to you to schedule your delivery date. Delivery time frame will be based on reservation date, order date, delivery location and vehicle configuration. So they do say delivery time is based on reservation date but obviously that isn't the first priority. The need to reverse that list as it seems that vehicle configuration is first and then location. Order and reservation date don't really matter.

Now that Fremont is cranked back up, hopefully we will start seeing some action and get our cars soon. Time will tell like so many things today.;)

I got a call from the salt lake delivery center last week. Im white on white , 19 inch awd in montana. So hopefully getting a call from them other than the LV call center is a good thing ? Crossin fingers

There’s delivery centers and then The Call Center in Vegas that handles a lot of the reaching out to reservation holders to tel them to get ready.

I think if you’ve got a number for anyone at Tesla that picks up the phone, go ahead and call’em or tell them you’re ready to rock n’ roll.

Our check for the loan expires end of May so I’m hoping they give me a car before then or Navy Fed will just re-issue the check. The bigger problem is used car prices have tanked, I hope Tesla will honor the price from the beginning but I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t. Now that CarMax is open maybe I’ll get it re-quoted through them for a higher price.

As I’m typing this I received an email from Tesla:

“Thank you for completing your Model Y order.
We appreciate your patience and will contact you with available delivery dates as soon as possible. Soon, you’ll be able to go anywhere with up to 316 miles of range and Tesla’s expansive Supercharger network.
In the meantime, explore Model Y with helpful video tutorials or convenient accessories like Model Y Roof Rack or Wall Connector for the most convenient charge at home.”

Yeah i got the same email ! Hmmmmmm wonder what it means for us ?!

There is another thread out there call "Did anyone receive this e-mail?" and from what I've see there we all got this e-mail if you are still awaiting delivery. I think this is a Tesla "We're back... !!!" e-mail. I'm hoping this means they are back to business and we will be getting our cars soon but until we start seeing deliveries and what is delivered there is no telling. I would be nice if Tesla was more transparent and would actually let you know when they expect your car to be produced or at least what the factory is cranking out at the time. Just put something on the website saying "Now producing: PUPs in Red and FSD" or the like. At least that way you may know when you might actually get your car. That is probably too much to hope for. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I get something this month and they don't reassess my trade value and screw me there.

Yep, got the same email. C’mon end of Q2 ;)

Maybe wishful thinking, but logically if last third of every quarter is for US. Last third of this quarter is June. So our cars will be made in June. But then its the matter of where we are in the line, and if they'll be able to make enough in June to get to us. If not, then logically September is our next chance... after that December.

Of course sprinkle in canceled orders here and there.

I miss the days that Tesla used to make cars that they had order for like back in 2015 when we got our first model S. Given the inventory for M3, S, and X on Tesla website, it would have been nice to think Tesla would concentrate on model Y production for reservation holders but I think that is wishful thinking on my part.
Waiting on P Model Y with PU, white on white.
If we can’t get it by end of June, we may need to look into X or another brand sadly.

I got a call from Tesla this afternoon. No real news, just checking in. Probably getting a read on how many of us are still serious about our orders. The rep said production is starting back up and hopefully I will get a VIN soon. I complained that many of us that ordered cars more than a year ago are still waiting while folks that order a few months ago have their cars. He confirmed they way they are doing the production for the Y is way different than the 3. Yeah, no kidding and not different in a good way. So I have had two communications from Tesla in one day. One e-mail and one call. I'm crossing my fingers and taking this as a sign something good might happen soon.

For those who haven't received a call or e-mail yet, when did you order and what did you order? I'm curious if Tesla is finally taking care of older (more than a year old) orders. I ordered a AWD Blue/Black 19s FSD on 3/17/19 and got both an e-mail and call yesterday.

I got the email. Ordered February 14, 2020. White/White AWD FSD. I’ve spoken with my delivery specialist as well in the past.

Ordered 4/4 and I've spoken with my sales specialist at this point. Black on white awd gemini no fsd. She just reached out and wanted to know our timeline for buying

I think it's risky for them to drop RWD too soon.

There are a lot of on the fence AWD orderers like me. I can totally go either way. If I could order RWD today over AWD, 50% likely I would.

I assume there are a few 1000 of me they would love to get AWD to, so we don't switch.
