White/Black/AWD/19/No FSD.

Ordered 5/22, got the "2-4 week" text followed by the "1-2" week text. Originally was set for a cash deal with a paid off trade in, but decided to do financing instead and had my delivery specialist reset my profile this morning. Coincidentally got a VIN and was told it is in "pre production" at the same time. I have a 137XX VIN, for the curious. Delivery at the Renton service center in WA, near Seattle.

2.39% on 72 mos with $0 down through Chase (via Tesla, not direct)

I know Tesla doesn't have the best fit and finish so I wanted to share my recent experience when I picked up my Model Y. I took delivery at the dealership and the delivery specialist said the service department found a couple of things that needed to be fixed...which was a good thing. I inspected the car the night I picked it up and found additional defects which included a 3 inch circular smooth/flat paint defect. Looked like someone took some fine sand paper and just sanded a couple of coats of paint off. I also found a few alignment issues with the tailgate, charging port and passengers rear tail light. Anyway, I took pictures and emailed them to my delivery specialist the day (Friday) after I picked my Model Y up. She finally got back to me on Tuesday asking if I had any problems with the vehicle. I mentioned I emailed her pictures of the defects that I would like Tesla to fix. She said Tesla would only fix defects reported within the first 100 miles and they needed to be reported in the Tesla App. She pulled the mileage up on my vehicle and said you drove 136 miles so Tesla is not responsible for and will not fix any defects that were not reported in the App. I was like WTH, I found numerous defects and emailed you my concerns but since I didn't report them in the Tesla App, you're not going to fix them? She said "exactly, you failed to report them in the Tesla App within the first 100 miles so we're not responsible and you have to get them repaired on your own". After 30 minutes of complaining and asking her to do the right thing she refused so I asked to speak with her manager. She said he was busy and would ask him to call me back. I got a call from the delivery manager a couple of hours later and after a brief conversation he said, he looked at the pictures and Tesla would cover the defects. Bottom line is do a thorough inspection of your vehicle and report any defects in the Tesla App within the first 100 miles.
