How Does an Owner Reserve an M3?

Now that I am a Tesla owner, I want to reserve an M3. I went to Tesla's web page, signed into my account, and clicked on Model 3, and then "Reserve Yours". However, it is asking me for my name and information. I would have thought that since I was signed into my account, it would know that information.

Is there something special I need to do to reserve as an existing owner?

You mean if the email matches but the name is different? If both are different then you definitely won't get the current owner bump.

I bet you get owner credit with a matching email regardless of name match. I know for sure that matching name but different email does not work.

Call. No way you get the same answer from five different stores. Or just try it. Worst case you have to call anyway.

Log in to your existing Tesla account and edit your personal info so that it will match the info you're about to enter in the Model 3 reservation form.

I tend to agree though that Tesla is using email as the unique identifier for accounts, so if you enter in your existing email, they will see the existing account.

That thread is referring to owners who are reserving their *second* model 3 (i.e., I believe they're not getting ownership credit for the new reservation, because they already used it for the first one). AFAIK owning a model 3 doesn't give you preference on a subsequent model 3 reservation.
