How to remove this?

Hit a rubber thing on the highway today. I tried to use my nail against it but nothing came out. Also tried wet towel. It seems getting fade but I could be wrong. No scratches found. Any advise?

Try Goo-b-gone. Then clay bar. Do not recommend magic eraser at all. Of course DA polisher with orange pad and ultimate compound would take care of it too

With any cleaner that you are not familiar with, test on a paint area that's not seen, in case it dissolves the paint.

If none of that other stuff works, buy some scratch remover from the auto parts section. It will definitely get that scuff out and make it like new.

Please tell me you are not referring to a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Those will micro scratch your paint like fine sandpaper.

Magic Eraser will work like wet sanding, which isn’t a bad thing is some circumstances when paint needs wet sanding, but then you have to polish the paint with something like the scratch remover I mentioned or a buffing compound.

For this, better to spend $6 on a scratch remover and do it in one step.

No sir. water and micro fiber towel with a little pressure did the trick LOL. I finished it with wax.

Glad to hear it came off with something mild.

In general, it’s always best to first try to clean the clear coat using a detail spray or cleaner such as Optimum Power Clean (or in your case, Mr Clean).

if cleaning doesn’t work, only then do you want to use a polish or compound, which works by removing a very tiny bit of the clear coat.
