HPWC Failure

My HPWC failed over the weekend, but it was the plug (one of the pins got pushed back and made poor contact with the receptacle on the Tesla). Was replaced within 18 hours of the call to Tesla! (Totally impressive) - I too am adding the 14-50 as "backup" to the HPWC. I am installing the 14-50 outside the garage and keeping the HPWC inside.

Given that it looks like Tesla Service created the fault, then Tesla should do more than send you a new unit, they should do the replacement or pay the cost of replacement.

The did offer this up front. Tesla is certainly not your usual company!

Still waiting on new HPWC. Said they were shipping one out but no tracking info and no unit so far. REALLY glad I have the 14-50!
