I just received a text saying they could do my HW3 upgrade. Is this how any of you were contacted? Wanted to make sure it was legit because they were asking me to drop off my vehicle and leave my key in the box with the last 6 digits of my VIN taped to it.
It’s Tesla in Alpharetta, GA.
2.5 hours for me today on a 2018 build with electrical wiring rework required. That includes the time for them to do a test drive and change the air filter.
I have a LR AWD and when I got my 3.0 installed, the software went back to an old version,I am about to schedule my HW3 upgrade service appointment, but I have an odd situation. When I received my standard dual motor long range, the software on the car and its speed all indicated that is has the performance software: I have the red underline on the screen, "sport" as a driving option, red underline on the app, etc., all the things consistent with it being a performance version. And it drives like a performance version.
Will upgrading to HW3 cause me to lose this performance version of the software they seem to have loaded on to the car?
