I wrote to Tesla 12-1-14 to suggest they make an adaptor to make my charge cable an extension when I encounter a fully ICED SC station. Received this reply 12-2-14

Thank your for contacting Tesla Motors Technical Support with your feedback/suggestion. Unfortunately the Mobile Connector is only rated up to 40 amps and cannot handle the type of current that the Superchargers put out. I will however submit a feature request for some type of Supercharger to Car extension.
