ICE cars with concealed tailpipes

Anybody notice the recent ICE cars, especially from Audi and Volvo, have well-concealed tailpipes? It’s like they want to look like EVs…

(This is a big change from days of yore when tailpipes were flaunted with square tips, dual or quad exhaust ports, integration into bumpers, and other silliness!)

I've seen a few models go in that direction but the faux huge exhaust ports still seems to be the norm in new vehicles that I notice

Might be cool to add some faux tailpipes to our EVs? Betcha some 3D-printing vendors could supply them pretty quickly!

Ironically the Fisker Karma has faux tailpipes which hides it's external speakers.

Audi has EVs so I doubt all of the “want to look like an EV.”

I don’t know the reasons but I have noticed the cars yes.

One that sticks out in a VW Atlas. Very large vehicle, no exhaust pipes visible.

One day they'll sell an EV with the ICE trim kit. Fake exhaust, engine noise/vibration, and you have to take it in for $1500 service every year under the Premium Service Plan.

I actually know of a guy who sold his S and got an Audi R8 because the S was too quiet. Couldn't turn heads at stoplights or something? IDK.
