If FSD was never going to be an option, would you still purchase a Tesla

Honestly, I think autopilot and self-driving is a bit of a rathole for Tesla. I'd rather they concentrated on manufacturing costs and reaching the mass market. I don't really care if my Model 3 ever self-drives.

I purchased with just basic AP...not paying for FSD. I purchased right at the beginning of March thinking AP still had Auto Lane change..it didn't. I used it for a few weeks but it's basically useless without it so I don't use it much. So yes, I did and would again purchase without FSD.

....been there, done that....started with a 2013 S85...pretty 'low tech' by current Tesla standards. No AP1/2/3, No PDC, no folding mirrors, no lighted mirrors in the sun visors, 3G modem in MCU, etc, etc.

I would never use or pay for FSD so yes, absolutely.

That said, I predict that there’s gonna be a very long wait for those that are holding their breath for it.

We previously had a 2013 P85+ without AP so yes.

I would have been less interested in a Tesla. I’m not really sure I could have justified spending 50k on a car without it.

However, now that I own a Tesla I love the car and would have rather got the long range awd and forgo the extra 6K I spend on fsd.

But ****, the promise of fsd is some cool *sugar* ain’t it?

Maybe someday when FSD is fully tested and you can use it unsupervised it will have appeal. For now I don’t find it valuable.
