If rears wear out first, is there really an advantage to a square setup on a MYP?

I've always planned on doing a square setup on MYP but now I'm wondering why. Unlike most cars which wear out the fronts first, and we then rotate backs to front, is it even worth doing that on Teslas where the rears typically wear out first? Seems strange to put the more worn out tire from the rear onto the steering front end.

Not an expert. Am I wrong or missing something obvious? (I usually am).

rugger: ...and yes about putting more worn tires on the front. In fact, national chain tire shops REQUIRE that when replacing only 2 tires, the NEW tread goes on the rear. (to avoid too much FE grip, rear sliding with oversteer,)
