Interior temperature control isn't accurate

It's getting cider here in seattle and with latest firmware I've noticed that the car is getting hotter than I want. There's no way to check interior temp from the console, but at least I can see it in an app. For some reason it's showing 2-3 degrees warmer and heater not shutting down. Is it expected?

Yes, it heats past the set point.

Most thermostats are inaccurate and with the temperature hysteresis it makes it worse.
Measure the temperature in various areas of the car and you will probably see 20 degrees variations.

Don't set it for a temperature, set it to a comfort level.

Of all the comparisons that I've done between thermostats and thermometers over the years, 3 degrees is really close. The hysteresis is sometimes 6 degrees.

I believe it purposely overheats, so the whole car will get warm, not just near the heating vents. Plus the car loses heat as you open the falcon doors.

Ended up being bad temperature sensor, which was replaced. It's much more accurate now.
