Hello Tesla/iPhone owners,
I spoke to Tesla support and they recommended the following procedure that fixes the streaming connect/disconnect issue. The garbled voice issue still persists but can be fixed on a per-call basis by turning your iPhone Bluetooth on and off before making a call. This issue seems to get worse with every call, so doing it every 3-4 calls seems to cover it...
To fix the streaming connect/disconnect problem (phone disconnects every 7.5 minutes):
1. Forget the Tesla on your iPhone
2. Forget the iPhone on your Tesla
3. Do the scroll button reset on the Tesla by holding down the 2 scroll buttons on the steering wheel for 10 seconds
4. Add the iPhone back into your list of connected devices on the Tesla
5. MOST IMPORTANT - When asked to sync contacts, say NO...it's an issue with the contact sync what causes the disconnect problem.
