Is paying at delivery is an option?

Got a text to complete ACH transfer before the delivery on 6/28 for AWD LR blue/black, paying cash.

The caveat is that back in March I was waiting for a delivery of Performance model Y, did the ACH for the full amount and never heard from them for 2 weeks. Called in, and asked to return the money and ask me to pay when they have anything to offer in return. They said the only option to get the money back is to cancel the order, which I did. Took another 2 weeks to receive the money back.

Later in May, ordered AWD LR, and now they scheduled a delivery in Fremont hub. I don't want to pay for something I might not even accept, and would prefer paying with a check at the delivery hub. Is that an option? Anyone experienced paying with a check?

On my third Tesla. I always pay with a personal check at delivery. No problem.

I have a certified check waiting on my vehicle notice and delivery schedule. I have had it since 6/11 and it is good for 60 days.

They aren't at risk. The check will clear long before they have the title work done. If it doesn't, they know how to find you and can disable your car. I don't think they are worried ;-)

Got confirmation over text from Tesla Delivery Hub in Fremont that check is ok.
