June Delivery

I was one of those people who received the get your stuff together by June 1st for a mid-to-late June delivery. I have been in completed prepare for delivery stage for awhile. No updates, no indication my MY will be delivered by the end of the month. I am super discouraged because I don't want to lose my CarMax match or reapply for financing. My delivery specialist has been no help. Any sign of hope? Blue/White/AWD/20"/NoFSD/No tow. Tennessee.

I'm in TN too, got a 7-14 day delivery text a few days ago. I'll post when (if!) I get a delivery date set.

I got the 7-day text yesterday and got the VIN in source today. The word in the forum is that depending on your location it may take up to 2 weeks after the car leaves the factory. I am in Florida, so supposedly it may be 2 to 3 weeks until I get my car if I'm lucky.

I'm taking delivery tomorrow of my LR AWD, MSM, All Black, 19", FSD, No tow. Order was placed on 2/2/20.

My first text was the "deliveries will be prioritized for customers who have submitted..." on 5/15.

I entered my trade-in info (2018 Model 3 LR AWD) and confirmed the trade in offer on 5/20.

Next SMS was 6/2 with "we expect to build in the next 10 days..."

Then on 6/10, I got the "if you are ready to take delivery this month, please reply June and complete all remaining..." :) I also got a 2nd SMS saying my lending terms were approved and posted.

Then on Saturday 6/13 in the morning, I get an email asking me to confirm my trade in offer (again), so I go to my account online, and see that I have a delivery appointment scheduled for Sunday, 6/14 at 5pm.  No VIN in my account or source code. I quickly make final payment Saturday morning.

I call my local service center, talk to the local delivery person, and confirm Tuesday for delivery. I have a 668X VIN assigned to me. Not sure the build date yet, but I'm guessing it's near the shutdown or just before.

According to the rep, they are just building the Ys in batches and sending them out to centers en mass. The computer then assigns the VINs to matching order configurations based on who's next in line that has completed everything in their account. He told me if I didn't take delivery by Thursday, the vehicle would get re-assigned to the next matching order reservation and I'd have to go back in line to wait for the next matching "batch" to be shipped over.

Same boat.... Except mine has been complete since March. MSM/White Interior/20"/Tow Hitch in Texas. I call everyday to my delivery center and get mixed answers but to "be patient". Were 13 days out from EOQ and it just doesn't seem feasible to get it this month given I haven't heard a peep/text/call/email from Tesla. Last communication from my delivery specialist is that I "should" receive it by the end of the month. I need a vehicle now and its really frustrating that I cant get a better time frame other than 4-8 weeks like the site says.

Magically....just received a VIN this morning (Superior SC). I was part of the depressed crew who had gotten all the texts and phone calls over the last 3 weeks and then radio silence. And then, SURPRISE, it was there this morning. Now I get to see how long it takes for delivery. Happy Father's Day VIN for me!

That is awesome. I only have gotten the get your stuff in by June text for june delivery. I have heard nothing since then. It is very frustrating.

I got the 2-4 weeks text, the June/Delay text and a call from Las Vegas and My local SC just to make sure I was all dialed in. SC implied they were fullfilling the easier (non-financed, no trade in) vehicles as priority. But then I heard nothing for the past 3 weeks. Didnt even get that text from last week of your car is expected in 7-10 days.

It's my turn!!! I finally have a VIN assigned. I saw a post from someone else saying they chatted with Tesla online asking about a status update, and had their VIN in a few hours. Could very well be coincidence, but I did the same thing. While she had no information for me, I did have a VIN assigned a few hours later.

For a timeline, I ordered on 5/26. I received the 10 day text on 6/2 and the 7 day text on 6/14. I switched over from Cash to Tesla financing on Friday. I'll be picking up my car on Wednesday 6/24, checklist in hand :) VIN 13XXX.

Hey there @brandopres93, we're about to pull the trigger on a Y. I cant tell if you've received your vehicle, but if you have, did you try to take delivery in Memphis at the service center? I'm thinking if everyone in Memphis keeps asking, maybe they will start delivering there.

Taking delivery in Nashville is a bit more precarious when you only have a 24kW LEAF.

Would love to just see one in person if you have yours, maybe even take a ride if you felt comfortable considering pandemic. Masked of course.

Off topic but I noticed your user ID. A fellow ZHP owner here too. :)

I miss that car every day, but I don't miss working on it. Owned it from 2006 (purchased CPO) to 2015, a month shy of 9 years. I've been driving i3's since then and we are ready for something with longer range. Were you on ZHPMafia by chance? It was a great forum back in the day.
Yep! Still am. I still have mine. Love driving it, when I do. Haven't driven it in months though and am contemplating getting rid of it. But, I'm going to regret it.
