Day 5

A guy from Fremont was a lot helpful compare to the previous guy (who stopped responding me lol)
We were double checking the trade-in, and I was telling him that I would be out of town starting next Wednesday for 9 days. He told me that they could expedite the process as fast as they can.
He gave me a separate link so that I could upload a photo from my end, and I did immediately with 7 shots.
He said that I don’t need to worry about what to do after finance pre-approval, they would contact credit union.

Other than these, no update yet.

Having a 300 mi roundtrip in the weekend, wish if I could get a model S before then.

I did send an email this morning asking for a general timeline. Specifically I said I have some business trips and things to consider coming up and would appreciate a one week over / under. I got a reply about an hour later saying they would call me soon to setup a time. I laughed at how vague that was and 30 minutes later I got the call.

Curiously, though out this my original advisor also went from responding quickly to not at all. I haven't heard from him since the day I put in the deposit. If your guy's name started with "K" it's probably the same person.

Also, thanks! Long Uber ride to get there but I can't wait.

Probably Kyle. Judging by his response times it’d appear he’s got his plate full at the Fremont location.

Well, my (former) adviser is the one dealing with the east coast. His name is starting with R.

does it end in a y?

i was dealing with a CPO advisor who took ages to respond as well, but was super helpful when i did get in touch with him. He did respond much faster when i put in the deposit. I am not sure why the CPO process is the way it is...when i called the tesla call center, they didnt know why either.

I placed an order on a CPO on Thursday. I got a call from the advisor, who i had already been in touch with, that evening and yesterday i got an email setting up delivery date, which would have been upcoming friday/saturday. However, I had changed my mind on the CPO and decided to go with the MR M3, on Friday after going into a serivce center/showroom so thats what i communicated to them and the CPO was off my account within a few hours.

The delivery email included the location and extra directions on what to bring, etc.

so placed deposit thursday, got call thursday. got email to confirm payment method in order to set up delivery monday.

yes, end with Y, hahaha.

Wow, so your process is extremely fast! Same deposit day with me, and (supposed) delivery date on Fri/Sat? o_O that's amazing.
M3 is great one too, I seriously thought of that too. You will like it!

yeah r_ _ _ _ y was very persistent on the fact that the car HAD to be picked up within 7 days. which wasnt really a problem for us since we were willing to travel. But now i have to wait for the M3 and that is driving me crazy lol.

Hmph, if he was supportive and helpful to you, maybe I'll try to call R_in_y again :)D)

thanks for your information!
i am wracking my brainey but cant think of the namey ;)

but yeah try him again. honestly i just used his number off of one of the emails and called him. He obviously didnt pick up, but i told him in the VM that i was very serious about purchasing and i think that kind of helped.

Day 6.
Sadly, no update at all. I called local tesla delivery guy and see how things are going. He found my name, and told me that the estimated delivery time would be 11/7, which I won't be able to pick up for at least 9 days starting 6th. No help at all. Surprisingly, the car will be shipped from Atlanta so that I won't need to go and pick up from Atlanta. At least that's a nice thing!

tldr; no updates. sad face :(

They are shipping the car out to you? What the heck! The last I left it with my SA, I have to pick up the car in Atlanta myself. That's a long trip back up north to NJ. Maybe my delivery specialist will say something else.
