When you see a model year that means you've got a VIN. And accepting the Vision agreement is also the first sign of VIN assignment.
Interesting; I don't see a VIN, and I did the "DOM dive/ inspector" to find one... nothing there
Same boat, 10th - 24th.. I see the year but no VIN etc. I'm also Ontario, Canada if that makes any difference
It might be a guarantee that your VIN might have a couple different digits in it maybe.
I wouldn’t read anything else into it. Tesla doesn’t do “Model Years” like most anyone else. Most likely for some time to come, a 2022 Model Y will be largely the same as the current shipping ones. Until Texas is online and shipping in volume it is far more likely to get a Fremont Model Y.

Oh! Awesome, I got it from the source code with that and can confirm it's 2022 from using a decoder.
Yep.... mine too! Ordered my MYLR in July, pick up next week. Will be a 2022.
As another said... the VIN prefix changed:
Digits 1 - 3: World Manufacturing Identifier
5YJ = Manufacturer: Tesla Inc., Vehicle Type: Passenger Car (Designated for Model S & Model 3)
7SA = Manufacturer: Tesla Inc., Vehicle Type: MPV (Designated for Model X & Model Y)
Well that should make it interesting when trying to get insurance. I had enough trouble with the older 5YJ...
My EDD recently updated to 12/2 - 12/13. I just looked in my account and saw there was the “vision agreement” for me to agree to, along with it showing as 2022. VIN wasn’t visible on main page but showed in source code and MVPA document.
I’m wondering if I can just not agree to it until later this month since, as many others, I was hoping to take delivery in the new year.

Yea i hear you, i have been trying to shop for insurance and a few of them have not added 2022 Teslas or just model 3 but not Y. they apparently update their list every month and Tesla did not make the Dec cut. limits the options as the car is coming in 2 weeks.
I am from Toronto as well, who did you go with? they suggest Aviva at the dealership. i am waiting for my VIN ( Dec 11-25) to finalize but so far a few do not even have 2022 Teslas on their lists.
Perhaps they are set up better now than back in June 2020, when I had to get an agent on the phone to enter in mine. At the time they had no selection for MYP, just LR, so the letter for the perf motors was screwing it up.
I think Tesla is so strict these days they just cancel your order and say "when you are ready to take delivery, place a new order, etc"
