Larger screen in Model Y?

I've heard rumors that the Model Y's screen is somewhat larger than the Model 3's. I could see Tesla making small changes like this to help further differentiate the Model Y from the Model 3.

wouldn't make any sense from a cost standpoint for Tesla. They want as much commonality as possible between Model 3 and Y.

The mounting may be different, but the screen is likely the same.

I'd also heard it was a little larger, perhaps by 2" diagonal?
But maybe I'm thinking of the CyberTruck.

Yes, it'd make sense for Tesla to use the same size screen as on the Model 3.

i had already bought a screen protector since it seemed certain it would be the same. only $17 and don't really care because if it's true, it's just another example of tesla's always moving forward.

Recent photos of production models seem to refute the 17" rumor.

I have both in my garage, they are the same size. Physical size AND viewable screen size.
